Be the Star You Are! is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is to empower women, families, and
youth through improved literacy and positive media. We collect, distribute, and promote books and other positive
media to women, families, and youth at risk as a way to increase literacy, decrease violence and raise life skills.

Be the Star You Are!, a local literacy charity, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the launch of our new book,
Be the Star You Are! for TEENS (ISBN:9781600376320) and a dance party, all organized by local high school teens.
Party features 1+3 bands, 13 music sets, 13 raffle items, and
13 book contributors autographing the new book!

Be the Star You Are! is a volunteer organization that operates through contributions, in-kind donations, and
proceeds from fund-raising events. Be the Star You Are! does not receive state or federal funding and
is solely dependent on contributions from the community and corporations. The fight against illiteracy is a
continuing battle. Please join our efforts by making a tax-deductible contribution today.
We want to see you there - and bring some cash! Specialty gift items, great food, drinks, and mocktails,
will be sold while you enjoy live music, dancing, autograph sessions, book sales, celebrities,
martial arts demonstration and lots of fun. Tickets are limited!
