Death by Modeling with the Success Sisters, Cynthia Brian and Libby Gill
Women buy the majority of magazines and are the gender most affected by the prevailing trends. High fashon models are so waif thin that recently two models died from anoxeria during fashion shows. They existed on soft drinks and lettuce. Libby interviews Cynthia about her days as a model to find out how the perception of the ideal body has changed. The important message of this interview is that it’s important to be a role model to your children by loving your body. Understand that photos are retouched and air-brushed. There is no such thing as perfection. In fact, the average American woman wears a size 12 and weighs around 146 pounds. Get medical advice, take care of your health, and don’t look at the celebrities as mentors. The best thing to happen at the Oscar’s this year was that Jennifer Hudson won and is considered sexy. You go girl!

Vanity Fair Editor, Doug Stumpf with Confessions of a Wall Street Shoeshine Boy
Although Vanity Fair editor, Doug Stumpf writes his Confessions of a Wall Street Shoeshine Boy as a novel, you can’t help but feel that there is a large percentage of haunting truth in this tale. The novel has two voices-that of the affable Brazilian immigrant, Gil, who is a shoeshine boy at one of the largest trading companies on Wall Street and that of Greg, a reporter with Glossy Magazine (which is a mirror of Vanity Fair). If the “really big boss” decides not to take down an inside trading CEo, who is really going to protect we the innocent US citizens? A great interview with a wonderful novel soon to be a major motion picture!

Empathetic and compassionate, Doctor Lisa Love takes us on a spiritual journey with her book, Beyond the Secret. In our interview she talks about the difference between operating from ego or operating from spirit. The Law of Attraction may be able to give us everything we want in life, however, the bigger question is “do we need so much and does it serve the planet?” Her message is one of simplicity, awareness, and compassion. We can imagine our futures and strive to reach for our dreams while we consider the reality that the satisfaction in life really comes from serving others. The secret of a happy life is to give back. Great book, great interview, full of LOVE!
